The Department of Film and Media Arts is now accepting applications to study away programs in Los Angeles and Venice. Application deadline for both programs are Friday February 26, 2016. Application information can be found in the Study Away section. 

Los Angeles Program

The Department of Film and Media Arts LA Study Away Program offer students professional opportunities in the entertainment industry through internships. Operating out of the historic Raleigh Studios, students experience first-hand the mechanics of the film industry in action: sound stages, backlots, executive offices, and the like. Classes and guest speaker events are held in state-of-the-art screening facilities, and our new location allows us to expand our curriculum to include studio based production classes. Because we believe in the highest possible standard of education, all of our courses are taught by Temple faculty. Become part of a close-knit professional group comprised of current students and alumni who work together in the entertainment industry.

Venice Program

The FMA program in Venice, Italy provides students with a unique opportunity to travel abroad and earn academic credits, all while fulfilling a Global Gen-Ed requirement! This four-week intensive program, set against the backdrop of the 15th Architecture Biennale, will offer courses in architecture, film production, art history, and music. Students will get the chance to speak to professionals in the arts, as well as participate in excursions to Florence, Trieste, Padua, and others. Join us for an information session on the Venice program on February 8.

The Department of Film and Media Arts Study Away programs in Los Angeles and Venice are open to both Temple University students, of all majors, and visiting students.   

The School of Theater, Film & Media Arts offers students a number of study away opportunities in Los Angeles, Venice, and London. Students can earn academic credit while enriching their experiences beyond main campus. Coursework and activities cross disciplines and course numbers, providing students with a stimulating environment in which to establish relationships with, and to gain insights from, their peers.
