Devise the concept for a theoretical musical. It may be an adaptation or wholly original concept. It may be a narrative show or a topical revue or something in between. Write 1-2 paragraphs describing the concept for your theoretical show, including character and scenario information relevant to your responses to the following two prompts: Monologue Prompt: Create a 250-500 word monologue or soliloquy for a theoretical musical in which a character grapples with a difficult decision or attempts to convince another character to make a difficult decision. Scene Prompt: Create a 2-3-page scene for either (a) a “conditional love” moment for early in your show in which two characters who should not meet (for any number of reasons) do and experience significant romantic chemistry in spite of themselves OR (b) a “next-to-last” scene in which two characters thresh out the essential themes of the show by challenging each other and asking/responding to key and previously unspoken questions Please put your writing into one .pdf or .docx file
