Alumna Judith Adong (MFA '15) was selected as one of the twenty-one of the TED Global Fellows 2017. Ugandan director and playwright Adong creates art that promotes social change and provokes dialogue on issues from LGBTQ rights to war crimes. She is also the artistic director of Silent Voices Uganda, a not-for-profit performing arts organization. As a Fellow, Adong will deliver a talk at TED Global this August in Tanzania.

Film and Media Arts Professor Elisabeth Subrin's A Woman, A Part has extended its New York City run to April 13 at the IFC Center. In addition to succesful ticket sales, the film has also received tremendous reviews from The New York Times and Variety.
As Women's History Month comes to a close, join Diamon Screen Film Series and Mise En Femme Productions as they present the 1st Annual Women's Film Fest. Featuring 16 undergraduate and graduate films made by women in key creative roles, the screenings will take place this Friday, March 31st, from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM in Room 3 of Annenberg Hall.
One of the films featured will be Lucy Soutter's VENUS MAN TRAP. A quasi-educational film on weaponized femininity and guilt.
