We asked Temple’s Film in Color, an organization dedicated to providing community and resources for people of color filmmakers here at Temple, to help us pick out some can't miss films this year.

Six Films You Need to See According to Three Temple Student Film Organizations
The Philadelphia Film Festival that opened October 18th, and lasts until the 28th, features a wide range of fantastic new cinema. It is the largest and most well-attended film festival in Philadelphia, bringing diverse, independent film to the city every year.
Former faculty member David A. Hale, a professor at Temple university for over thirty years passed away on February 13, 2018. David Hale began his career as the director of theater for the new Tomlinson Theater in the 1960s and became chair of the Department of Theater in 1975. Over the course of his long career at Temple, Hale was also head of the graduate design program and the undergraduate program.
Benny Douglas, professionally known as Benny Boom, will be visiting Temple University for a Q&A session as well as a screening of the Tupac Shakur biopic All Eyez On Me on February 21, 2018 at 5:00 pm at the Temple Performing Arts Center.
