The annual Sundance Festival presented and hosted by the Sundance Institute, has grown to become a premier platform for film, theatre, film composing and digital media creatives across the globe. It is a place to showcase talents and get noticed. Founded in 1981, the institution has provided monetary and creative support to more than 900 artists a year.
Benny Douglas, professionally known as Benny Boom, will be visiting Temple University for a Q&A session as well as a screening of the Tupac Shakur biopic All Eyez On Me on February 21, 2018 at 5:00 pm at the Temple Performing Arts Center.

Alumna Judith Adong (MFA '15) was selected as one of the twenty-one of the TED Global Fellows 2017. Ugandan director and playwright Adong creates art that promotes social change and provokes dialogue on issues from LGBTQ rights to war crimes. She is also the artistic director of Silent Voices Uganda, a not-for-profit performing arts organization. As a Fellow, Adong will deliver a talk at TED Global this August in Tanzania.
