Quarantine is not slowing down Temple FMA Professor Rea Tajiri. Her incredible works are groundbreaking and inspirational with films that straddle documentary and art film genres and a way of finding new ways of storytelling that embrace the murky spaces of memory, history, and public consciousness.
In October, Professor Peter d’Agostino will be in Rome and Venice to present recent video works and a new book, Peter d’Agostino / World-Wide-Walks: Crossing Natural-Cultural-Virtual Frontiers, with an introduction by Kristine Stiles and co-edited with David Tafler. ( Intellect, UK / University of Chicago Press.).

We sat down with new film faculty member Afia Nathaniel to ask about her life, her artistic passions and what she's working on right now:
Q. Where were you when you found out you were an official selection by your country for an Academy Award? How did you feel?
