Diamond Screen Film Series Event Showcase MFA Films

The Department of Film and Media Arts is please to being the semester with the Diamond Screen Film Series: MFA Thesis Showcase at the historic Temple Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, September 29. This screening, the first in a series of four this academic year, will include four completed films of recent MFA graduates. Schedule includes Israel Vasquez's "Sun Dog"; Alyssa Pearson's "Pieces and Pieces"; Mickey Newmans's "The Thrill of Being Followed"; and Chad Blevins' "Lofa Boy."  Israel Vasquez, a  2015 Sundance | Knight Fellow, previous screened "Sun Dog" at the 2015 Diamond Screen Film Festival where it won Best Cinematography. The event will also include trailers and teasers from upcoming films including Christian Strevy's "Gunner Jackson" and Leslie Koren's "Now Return Us to Normal."
 
This event is free and open to the public. Enjoy complimentary appetizers, music by Boyer College students, and a cash bar. Reception begins at 4:30 pm and films at 6:00 pm.
