Three Temple Alums with 2020 Emmy Noms!

Jul 28 2020

We were super excited to spot three TFMA Temple owls in the list of Emmy nominations for 2020!

Alum Samira D. Wiley was recognized for her work in Hulu's harrowing series THE HANDMAID'S TALE with a nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Moira

Another alum, Quinta A. Brunson's work on A Black Lady Sketch Show was also recognized with an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Variety Sketch Series. This HBO show has the distinction of having the first all-black women writer's room, the first black woman sketch director, and being the first sketch series cast composed entirely of black women.

Another Owl Emmy nod went to Benjamin J. Semanoff (TFM ‘01) for Outstanding Directing For A Drama Series for his work on the crime drama OZARK.

We're so proud of our working TFMA Owls -- If you have some time to binge, take the time to indulge in their incredible shows! We can't wait to see what they do next!
