University Resident Theatre Association (URTA): URTA integrates educational and professional theatre, and contributes to the development and expansion of important professional theatre and training laboratories, in which advanced students and professional artists work together to encourage achievement in production and performance. One of the first projects URTA implemented was the National Unified Auditions/Interviews, or NUAIs, for students interested in pursuing graduate studies in acting, directing or design.
