Temple Theaters is pleased to announce the Spring 2021 scholarship awards, generously supported by the department, university, and distinguished alumni. Of particular note, Temple Theaters is able to provide a significant amount of support to theater students owing to the generosity of “Big Bang Theory” actor Kunal Nayyar (TFM ‘06) and his wife Neha Kapur.

In honor of the Department of Theater’s founder and first chairperson, the winners of the Paul E. Randall Memorial Scholarship are Devon Duffy and Asia Christian

The Adeline L. Wachman Endowed Scholarship in Theater Fund was established in 2003 by Marvin Wachman to provide scholarships for undergraduate students majoring in theater. This Spring it was awarded to Briana Tucker

The Gladys Gordon Memorial Award for Theater was established in 2004 by a bequest from Gladys Gordon, EDU ‘35, ‘72, and others to provide awards for outstanding students majoring in theater. This Spring it was awarded to Alexandria Orr

The Zelma H. Weisfeld Scholarship Fund was established in 2003 by Zelma Weisfeld, CLA '53, this fund provides scholarships for students in the department of theater who are studying costume design. This Spring it was awarded to Gia Rota

The Beatrice Deglin Leder Theater Award was established in 2000 by Beatrice Deglin Legder, EDU '42, to provide an award for a graduating theater major who has demonstrated outstanding achievement as an actor, director, designer, stage manager, technician, or dramaturge. This Springs recipients are Chelsea Middlebrooks and Brielle Rivera
