Winner of eight Tony awards, including best musical, Spring Awakening tells a story of adolescent anarchy and teenage rebellion set to a pop-rock score that explodes out of Wedekind’s groundbreaking play.  The celebrated musical follows a group of teenagers who feel silenced and controlled by a society they are just beginning to understand. Through their struggles they discover a new world of feeling and freedom outside their classrooms with beautiful and devastating consequences.

***COVID PROTOCOLS FOR TEMPLE THEATERS PRODUCTIONS***

Temple University is currently hosting virtual and in-person events in compliance with regional and CDC guidelines. Visit the university’s COVID-19 Resource Hub for additional information. All involved in Temple Theaters productions will be masked for performances. All audiences will also be required to be masked. With rising positivity rates, the emergence of the delta variant and the city of Philadelphia’s Aug. 13, 2021, mandate requiring full vaccination at higher education institutions, the university has implemented the mandate that all students, staff, faculty, and contractors (unless specifically exempt) must be vaccinated by Oct. 15. It takes all members of the Temple University community working together to keep ourselves and everyone safe and healthy. Audiences are strongly encouraged to be vaccinated to contribute to the health of our campus. #VaxUpTU .
