Jennielynn Streed received her MFA in Costume Design from Temple. Ms. Streed has worked as a freelance artist, primarily in the Philadelphia area. During that time she served as the Assistant Costume Director at the Opera Company of Philadelphia for 15 years. She also worked as the cutter/draper, wardrobe and costume shop supervisor for numerous productions with the Pennsylvania Ballet, Philadelphia Drama Guild, Wilma Theater, Arden Theater, Curtis Institute of Music, Villanova University and Glimmerglass Opera Theater. As a member of Local 52, she worked on the films Beloved, Age of Innocence, Two Bits, and Cast Away. Ms. Streed teaches Costume Production, Draping and Flat Pattern Drafting, Costume Crafts and Advance Technical Practice. She has studied mask making in Italy with Antonio Fava and Augostino Desi, and embroidery, millinery and tailoring techniques in France, Belgium and England. She is a member of USITT, Costume Society of America and Surface Design Association.
