Peter Schmitz has been teaching theater history, dramatic literature, and writing techniques at Temple University since 2018. A native of St. Louis, Missouri, he has a BA in History from Yale College, and an MFA in Acting from New York University's Graduate Acting Program. As an actor, he has performed in New York (both on and off Broadway) as well as with many regional theaters -- including the Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis and the Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia. He also teaches acting classes, works as a dialect coach for Philadelphia theater companies, and has a new podcast: "Adventures in Theater History: Philadelphia."
