Kalen Allen to Give TFMA Graduation Address

The School of Theater, Film and Media Arts is excited to announce graduating senior Kalen Allen as student speaker at the TFMA Graduation Ceremony on Thursday, May 10 at 4:30 pm at the Temple Performing Arts Center. 

Kalen Allen is a theater and film double major originally from Kansas City, Kansas. He is also the viral sensation and creator of “Kalen Reacts”. Since January, Kalen has been finshing up his degree with the LA Study Away program in Los Angeles, as well as working as talent with The Ellen DeGeneres Show. While at Temple, Kalen has been highly involved with various campus offices such as Housing and Residential Life, Temple Student Government and TUTV. A Fly-in-4 student, he appeared in several Temple Theaters productions, including Hit the Wall and Hairspray. He is honored and excited to return to Temple University to graduate with the friends and peers to which it all began.

Temple University's 131st Commencement ceremony is on Thursday, May 10 at 9:30 am at the Liacouras Center. Temple University will present Senator Corey Booker, Robert Bogle and Meryl Levitz with honorary degrees. The School of Theater, Film and Media Arts will conferred BA, MA and MFA degrees to 300 students this year. The ceremony is at 4:30 pm on Thursday, May 10 at the Temple Performing Arts Center.
