Biography

Bobbi Block has been teaching, performing, directing and producing improvised theater in Philadelphia for 20 years. She is the Founder/Producing Artistic Director of the critically acclaimed Tongue & Groove Spontaneous Theater. Bobbi improvises with Barrymore Award recipient ComedySportz Philadelphia, which she co-founded, and was their Education Director and Artistic Director. Bobbi created LEAP: The Actors' Improv Experiment, for the Philadelphia Live Arts Festival. She co-created/performed with LunchLady Doris, and with Playback Philadelphia. Bobbi has two bachelor's degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, and a master's degree in Theatre from Villanova. She trained with master improvisors at renowned improv theaters. She teaches Improvisation at both Temple and Drexel Universities.
