Graduation Information

Graduation 2026

We look forward to celebrating all School of Theater, Film and Media Arts August 2025, December 2025 and May 2026 graduates at our Graduation Ceremony on Wednesday, May 6 at 1:30 p.m. The ticketed ceremony will take place at the Temple Performing Arts Center and will be livestreamed on the Boyer YouTube Channel.

Prospective graduates who have completed the graduation application may request up to four tickets for their guests to attend the ceremony.

Temple University 139th Commencement

Temple University's 139th Commencement will be held Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at 10 a.m. in the Liacouras Center. Graduates may secure up to four (4) guest tickets.

  • The University ceremony is a large event for all Temple University graduates and takes place at the Liacouras Center. President Fry and Interim Provost Boardman preside over that ceremony, and the Board of Trustees assists in the presentation of the degrees. Usually, honorary degrees are presented to notable people (this year Academy Award nominee Colman Domingo), and a speech is given by a Temple student. Students stand in groups to be recognized as their degrees are called by college (e.g. all graduating students from Boyer will stand at once).

  • The University ceremony typically runs approximately one hour and thirty minutes.

School of Theater, Film and Media Arts Graduation Ceremony

The School of Theater, Film and Media Arts Graduation Ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. at the Temple Performing Arts Center. Graduates may secure up to four (4) guest tickets.

  • The TFMA ceremony is just for TFMA graduates (and their guests) and takes place at Temple Performing Arts Center. Dean Stroker leads that ceremony and Boyer faculty are part of the platform party. There is typically a Boyer undergraduate student who makes remarks. At the Boyer ceremony, students’ names will be read individually, and they’ll have the opportunity to walk across the stage and receive a ceremonial scroll from Dean Stroker.

  • The Boyer ceremony typically runs approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.

Ticketing

Tickets may be reserved February 17-March 22. Tickets for all ceremonies must be requested by March 22 on the Commencement Ticketing website.

  • Guest ticket limitations are determined by venue capacity and the anticipated number of graduates. Once all graduates have had a chance to pick up their tickets in mid-April, a communication will be sent out to all graduates if additional tickets remain.

  • Note: If you submit your graduation application after February 12th, your access to the ticketing site may be delayed, but you will be able to access the site and reserve your tickets within a week of submitting your graduation application.

Academic Regalia

CPCA Grad Day

Friday, April 17, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Temple Performing Arts Center lobby

Join the CPCA Graduation team, Advising team, and Student Success Center in the TPAC lobby to pick up your graduation packet, including tickets, parking passes, and Latin Honors cords (for eligible students).

  • In preparation for CPCA Grad Day, students must complete the First Destination Survey in order to pick up graduation packets on April 17. The survey takes about 5 minutes to complete and lets Temple know where students land post-graduation. Students are encouraged to provide an updated personal email address when taking the survey so we can keep in touch!
    • What if I don’t complete the survey before April 17? No problem! Take it when you arrive at CPCA Grad Day!
  • If I can’t attend CPCA Grad Day on April 17, how can I pick up my graduation packet?
