In France, Emmanuelle was classically trained at the Ecole Supérieure d’Art Dramatique de la Ville de Paris and then studied physical theater at l’Ecole Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq.  She went back to school in Philadelphia and earned an MFA from Temple University in Directing. In 2021, Emmanuelle will be graduating once more from the Jacques Lecoq school, earning her 3rd pedagogical year, which makes her a certified Lecoq teacher.

Emmanuelle has also taken workshops with Philippe Gaulier, Virginia Scott, Norman Taylor and Chris Bayes.  She was a member of The Pig Iron Theatre Company for 8 years as an actor/creator.

As an independent artist, Emmanuelle directs new creations for other artists, she also creates and performs in her own pieces or directs for regional theaters. She created and performed Spinning Immigrant, and in Madame Douce-Amere produced by 1812 Productions. Her collaboration with Jen Child continued for her project The Woman and Comedy Project: It’s my party!

‍Emmanuelle also directed Oedipus at FDR, FRONTIN’ with James Ijames on the tradition of Blackface performances and the identity of the black performers in America, Charlotte Ford’s BANG, her clown adaptation of Marivaux’s La Dispute, and for her thesis Moliere’s Tartuffe as an urban clown feast.
