Fred Duer's designs range from summer stock for The Monomoy Theatre, to opera for Opera Delaware. Regional credits: Illinois Shakespeare Festival; Indiana Repertory Theatre; Colorado Shakespeare Festival; Indiana Festival Theatre; Theatre Aspen; San Diego Repertory Theatre; Pasadena Playhouse; and Off-Broadway at Criterion Center. A resident designer at The Old Globe Theatre for five years and as a founding member designed 11 productions for The Shakespeare Festival/Los Angeles over 22 years. As Production Designer, Fred designed the sets for "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air"; "In The House"; "Saved By The Bell: The New Class"; and "City Guys". He was nominated for an Emmy Award for "The Pat Sajak Show", CBS, 1989. Fred taught at Kansas State University and headed the Scenic Design Program at Indiana University, where his design work could be seen in The Cherry OrchardThe Scarlet LetterFalsettosUrinetownNineHamletHay FeverLysistrata, and The School for Scandal.
