BY GEORGE, IT’S JOY!
A tribute to theater luminary George Abbott
Performed by Joy Abbott (EDU '52) with Sean Thompson (TFM '09) and Temple Students
March 14 @ 7:30 pm & March 15 @ 3 pm
At the Temple Performing Arts Center (TPAC)

In this captivating tribute event, one of Temple’s most illustrious graduates, Joy Abbott, celebrates the legacy and memory of her husband, legendary Broadway producer, director, and playwright, GeorgeAbbott — the creative genius behind the invention of the classic book musical including THE PAJAMA GAME, PAL JOEY and DAMN YANKEES. The evening will feature favorite songs from Abbott musicals performed by Joy, Temple students, and special guest, Broadway performer (SUNSET BLVD., LOVE NEVER DIES) and TFMA Alum, Sean Thompson. The unique event will also highlight new works from the inaugural class of Temple Theaters' recently launched Abbott MFA in Musical Theater Collaboration.
