It was Hollywood’s biggest night, and a huge night for Temple! The 96th Annual Academy Awards were Sunday, and we had so many reasons to tune in: alums Da’Vine Joy Randolph and Colman Domingo were nominated for Best Supporting Actress and Best Lead Actor.
Oscar nominations are out, and Temple University is represented twice over!

Temple FMA Alum Joey Contino ('14) was recently nominated for an Emmy for his fascinating short video South Jersey's Unknown Ship Graveyard.
In a recent interview we sat down with Contino who talked about his career as an independent writer, the inspiration for his work and how Temple prepared him to succeed.

Sam Meneses (TFM ‘17) has a life full of color. As a media production professional that specializes in color grading, her strong visual arts talents have landed her big brand projects for notable clients like L'oreal, Showtime, Vimeo, Deloitte, Amazon and so many more.She currently works for a creative studio called Malka Media which as bicoastal roots in Jersey City and Los Angeles. I asked Sam how she finds inspiration for her work and how she has found the best ways to suit the messages of her clients.
Last month, Temple alum Sabriaya Shipley (BA ‘19) became the Executive Director of Theatre Philadelphia. Founded in 2012, Theatre Philadelphia leads efforts that expand and engage audiences through the theatrical arts in Philadelphia. They helm the annual Philly Theatre Week, as well as the nationally recognized Barrymore Awards for theatrical excellence in regional theater.
