It was Hollywood’s biggest night, and a huge night for Temple! The 96th Annual Academy Awards were Sunday, and we had so many reasons to tune in: alums Da’Vine Joy Randolph and Colman Domingo were nominated for Best Supporting Actress and Best Lead Actor.
Oscar nominations are out, and Temple University is represented twice over!
Recent Grad, Emily Rotz' (TFM, '23) new job with the independence Seaport Museum down on Penn's Landing really floats their boat! Here's a note from Emily about the experience and her love for Philly:

"Hi! My name is Emily Rotz. I graduated from Temple University’s Film and Media Arts program in May of 2023. During my time at TU, I earned a BA in Film and Media Production, as well as a certificate in Stage Management.
Last month, Temple alum Sabriaya Shipley (BA ‘19) became the Executive Director of Theatre Philadelphia. Founded in 2012, Theatre Philadelphia leads efforts that expand and engage audiences through the theatrical arts in Philadelphia. They helm the annual Philly Theatre Week, as well as the nationally recognized Barrymore Awards for theatrical excellence in regional theater.
As we hit the last month of summer, a few of our MFA students are gearing up for the culmination of their summer work.
