---Temple alums take home top prizes & more---
The annual Sundance Festival presented and hosted by the Sundance Institute, has grown to become a premier platform for film, theatre, film composing and digital media creatives across the globe. It is a place to showcase talents and get noticed. Founded in 1981, the institution has provided monetary and creative support to more than 900 artists a year.
Film and Media Arts Professor Elisabeth Subrin's A Woman, A Part has extended its New York City run to April 13 at the IFC Center. In addition to succesful ticket sales, the film has also received tremendous reviews from The New York Times and Variety.
Actors go on auditions all the time, but they rarely receive the critical but nurturing feedback that they hear in Jennie Eisenhower's "Musical Theater: Dress Rehearsal" class.
Eisenhower brings in casting directors and other professionals from around the city throughout the semester. Her students receive real-world audition experiences in the classroom along with valuable observations and assessments to help them prepare for life after college.
