As students, we all wonder what paths we will take upon graduating from Temple. For those of us who have dedicated our college careers to our passion for the arts, it can be even more challenging. Many of us are called to the stage, while others will get in front of the camera.
It was Hollywood’s biggest night, and a huge night for Temple! The 96th Annual Academy Awards were Sunday, and we had so many reasons to tune in: alums Da’Vine Joy Randolph and Colman Domingo were nominated for Best Supporting Actress and Best Lead Actor.
Oscar nominations are out, and Temple University is represented twice over!
Last month, Temple alum Sabriaya Shipley (BA ‘19) became the Executive Director of Theatre Philadelphia. Founded in 2012, Theatre Philadelphia leads efforts that expand and engage audiences through the theatrical arts in Philadelphia. They helm the annual Philly Theatre Week, as well as the nationally recognized Barrymore Awards for theatrical excellence in regional theater.
